It is understandable how people want things to change for the better, but not many know where to start or who to reach. Now, there is a way for the public to promote change for their own or another person’s community. State Farm presents State Farm Neighborhood Assist. State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a philanthropic group led by 30 students who are passionate about social responsibility. This group of young men and women collaborated and chose the top 200 causes out of the 3,000 entries. Now, it is up to the public to decide who will receive $25,000.

    The public must vote for the causes they believe deserve to belong in the top 40 grant receivers by April 22. “The beauty of State Farm Neighborhood Assist is that it places decision-making power directly in the hands of the public,” said Mary Crego, State Farm Senior Vice President. “We hope the 2013 program is able to increase last year’s widespread positive impact on U.S. and Canadian communities.” Read the rest of this entry »

Altogether, sixteen competitors will battle it out in the kitchen for the $50,000 grand prize and reception of the title “All-Star Champion”.
